Here’s an excellent article about the strange Twitter storm over the casting of Ruby Rose, a gay actor, as Batwoman, a gay character.
I’ve been a fan of Rose for a while, though she is typically underused in films that don’t know what to do with her.

This is a superb article from The Guardian detailing the political motives behind the attack on James Gunn. It also explains what the difference is between Gunn and Roseanne Barr and sets out a case for Gunn’s reinstatement.
Personally I’m concerned that in the era of Trump and the Alt-right, Hollywood actors, directors and producers are facing a witch-hunt similar to the infamous McCarthy communist hunt of the 1950s.
That must not happen again.
