The world spins towards Christmas and Admit One has a bit of a cold-enforced breather. However Simon and Mat return with another packed episode where Mat reviews Aubrey Plaza and Elizabeth Olsen in Ingrid Goes West, Simon takes a look at Emma Stone and Steve Carrell in 70’s tennis drama Battle of the Sexes, and Mat bravely faces down the Justice League.

Plus some news, a lot of gushing over being picked as BritPodScene‘s podcast of the week, and an impassioned plea for our US listeners to petition their Congressmen and women to vote down the proposed changes to Net Neutrality laws.

The one with XXX 3, Underworld 5, Split and La La Land

Then it’s off and away with four, yes four, movie reviews. Simon weighs in on XXX: The Return of Xander Cage and the pair discuss Kate Beckinsale’s fifth vampire sequel Underworld: Blood Wars. Mat tells us all about M. Night Shalayman’s Split with James McAvoy and Simon eulogises over La La Land.

We discuss what we’re planning to see next, discuss Euan McGregor vs Piers Morgan all over a couple of pints and a packet of pork scratchings.
